Trent Jamieson and I have small contributions about our new books, Managing Death and Transformation Space in the Orbit Xmas Newsletter. You can read what we have to say about these books, and check out all the other great releases here.

Things are heating up for Xmas, and I can no longer ignore the need to do xmas shopping and decorate the house. I also have a bunch of people to thank for helping me this year, so stand by for the giant list of lists.

Over at Burn Bright we’ll be running a series of Top 5 YA Picks for the Year, and some Most Anticipated’s for 2011. Don’t miss the great reading list. There’ll be giveaways as well, which I’ll probably do via facebook.

Everyone please BUY A BOOK for Xmas. My gift recipients will all be getting books from me!

TTYS!

I was going to have my say about the blatant inequality in representation and commendation of female authors in the media but quite frankly I’m too tired tonight. I’ll write it tomorrow. In the meantime here are some links that deserve you attention. Susan Meyers article Why Book Review Equality Matters. Sisters in Crime offer their own top 5 recommended read for the festive season, in response to The Weekend Australian’s male only list. And there’s a wiki open for you to post Great Books by Women published in 2009 which is in response to the Publishers Weekly Top Ten Books all male list.

This is for me but read along if you feel like it.

In no particular order but before xmas I must:

1. write fore-ward for upcoming novella (not mine)

2. write article for Genre Flash

3. write article for Writing Queensland

4. write 12.5k of Angel Arias

5. begin short story for Suicide awareness antho

6. begin Parrish novelette for e-book publisher

7. write 3rd Ixion fairytale

8. revise SD screenplay after Lynne’s segment is complete

I’ll be back to cross things off as I go. Just not sure when I’ll fit in Christmas shopping or lunch.
