Conquest was an intimate, well run convention held at the Park Regis last weekend. It was lovely to see some familiar faces and catch up with friends. Got to talk fandom with Julie Gormly in the dealers room and sold several copies of Glitter Rose and Dark Space. My talk centred aroud the business of writing and was followed by a panel with other guests, KC (Kylie Chan aka pocket rocket), Cory Daniells, Andrew Warrilow and Trent Jamieson. We waxed lyrical about the things that had fed our imagination over the years. I had to dash off but the other stayed and gave workshops and more talks. Thanks to Debbie and Leo and the Julli collective who kept the con afloat this year and did a wonderful job. I highly recommend you attend next year.

In other news, I did an interview with 3RPP today as Marianne Delacourt and will post links when it’s going to air.

I’m also working on my blog post for Helen Lowe, whose new book has just been launched by Orbit. That post will be up in the next week. Make sure you check out Helen’s new book, everyone is raving about it!
